Anna Chandler Design (Anna Chandler Design Pty Limited ABN 80 707 538 101) is an Australian homewares company which produces timeless, colourful ceramics, textiles and more. Our flagship showroom and warehouse are located in O’Connor, WA and we wholesale to some of the most beautiful homeware stores in the world.

At Anna Chandler Design, we support the protection of customer’s privacy rights as a fundamental element of our business. We recognise the importance of protecting your personal information and will ensure that our relationship is as exclusive as you want it to be.

Usage data

Our website runs on a webserver which records standard information such as IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referral source, goegraphical location, length of visit, page views and navigation paths as well as information about the timing, frequency and pattern of visitor service. This information is recorded by all web servers and is processed by us to improve the functionality, security, structure and performance of our website. The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate insterests, namely the proper administration of our website.

Additionally, if the visitor consents, this usage data may be collected by tracking code that runs in the visitors browser when they view a page on our website. This data is anonymised by removing part of the visitor’s IP address, and then sent to the external tracking service Google Analytics where it is processed for the purpose of analysing the use of our website. See the Analytics section for further details. The legal basis for this processing is that the visitor has provided consent by accepting the consent message when they first visit the site.

Account data

If a visitor creates an account or update their account details we may store and later process their username, email address and password.
The account data may be processed in order to ensure the correct functioning of our website and to communicate with the customer.
The legal basis for this processing is that a visitor must provide consent by accepting the privacy policy whenever they create an account.

Profile data

If a visitor creates an account or update their account details, we may store and later process their name, profile picture, biographical info, website, social media websites.
The profile data may be processed for the purposes of enabling and monitoring a visitor’s use of our websites and services.
The legal basis for this processing is that a visitor must provide consent by accepting the privacy policy whenever they create an account.
At any point in time you may view all of your profile data by logging in and going to the My Account page.

Business cutomers

If you are a business customer, you may be asked for additional profile data when creating and updating your account. This may include ABN, business name, description of business, business address, business phone number, business contact name, business contact email address, business contact phone number. This information does not include information about individuals at these businesses beyond their commercial activities or beyond what they voluntarily disclose during the collection of the data.

Publication data

When visitors leave comments or reviews on the site using a form, we collect the data shown in the form along with any relevant usage data. The data on the form can include the comment itself, the star rating, along with any profile data or account data the user provides.

We may process publication data for the purposes of enabling spam detection and publication of the comments or reviews. The legal basis for this processing is that the visitor provides consent when submitting each comment or review.

Enquiry data

When visitors submit an enquiry on our site using a form, we collect the data shown in the form along with any relevant usage data. The data on the form can include the enquiry subject and enquiry body, along with any profile data or account data the user provides. We may process information contained in an enquiry that a visitor submits to us for the puroposes of offering, marketing and selling relevant goods and services to the visitor, or responding to a request that the visitor submits in their enquiry. The legal basis for this processing is that the visitor provides consent when submitting their enquiry.

Transaction data

When a visitor submits an order, they will be asked to submit profile data, account data and transaction data. Transaction data can include billing and shipping address, phone numbers, tax / vat exemptions, Tax ID, Tax ID Expiry, credit card / payment details, details of the transaction. We may process transaction data for the purpose of supplying the purchased goods and keeping proper records of those transactions. The legal basis for this processing is that the customer must provide consent by acknowledging that they have accepted the terms and conditions and privacy policy of the website in order to complete their order.

eCommerce

If a visitor views the eCommerce section of our website, we may process that visitor’s usage data, along with other data they have submitted in order to ensure the correct functioning of our eCommerce service.

We may process a visitor’s usage data to determine the products and categories that they have viewed so that we can show them which products they’ve viewed in the past.

If a visitor adds items to their cart, We may process their usage data, profile data or transaction data in order to determine their location, so that we can estimate taxes and shipping charges for their order.

Additionally, if a use adds items to their cart, we may use cookies to keep track of their cart contents while browsing our site.

If a visitor places an order, we may ask them to submit transaction data, profile data and account data so that we can:

  • Send them information about their account and order
  • Respond to their requests, including refunds and complaints

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

We track the pattern of visitor usage across the sites by issuing an anonymous user id via a cookie (a cookie is a small data packet given to your web browser by our web servers, the browser stores the message in a text file in your computer). this user id is sent back to our servers each time you view a page from our servers. This id is deleted at the end of your session.

In addition, we may use a persistent cookie to hold user preferences on site operation. these preferences are accessed by your browser to configure the operation of the site to your requirements but are not downloaded back to our web servers. Members of our team have access to the information you provide us. For example, both Administrators and Shop Managers can access:

Comments and reviews

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

We collect information about visitors who comment on our site. The information we collect includes usage data and publication data, along with any profile data the user provides with their comment. This information is checked to determine whether a comment is spam using the automated spam detection service Akismet. This involves sending some of this data to the Akismet API. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Analytics

If the user consents, usage data may be anonymised and sent to our third party tracking service, Google Analytics. The data is anonymised by removing part of the user’s IP address.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. This includes account data, profile data, All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

How we protect your data
