Story
Anna Chandler Design is an Australian homewares company producing timeless colourful ceramic tableware, home textiles and more. Starting in a small back shed in 1988, Anna’s early designs were an instant hit and she soon outgrew this space. With the addition of husband Michael they opened their first factory in 1990. Before long, Anna’s unique products were selling all over Australia and beyond and a new larger factory and more staff were needed. Anna Chandler Design is now based in O’Connor, near Fremantle, Western Australia where the team wholesale products to hundreds of the most up-market and beautiful luxury homewares stores worldwide.
From Decorative Artist to
Designer
Anna Chandler was born in Tasmania and moved to Perth to study Design at Curtin University, graduating with a Degree in Design. Travelling to some of the most exotic places in the world imbued her designs with a distinct Orientalist flavour and a love of colour and pattern. Working in the diverse areas of Jewellery Design, Interiors, Decorative Painted Finishes and Graphic Design enabled her to combine her experience and inspiration into a range of moulded bas-relief wall plaques which today has expanded into a huge range of tableware, home textiles, accessories and much more.

Inspiration
Anna is always travelling, preferring off-the-beaten-track destinations to inspire her timeless designs. Ancient desert palaces, centuries-old tiled walls, a flea-market in the middle of nowhere. These are the things she searches out and which spark her new designs full of timeless beauty, devoid of passing trends.

Ethical & Sustainable
At Anna Chandler Design, sustainable choices are a priority wherever possible. We take pride in partnering with ethical manufacturers and suppliers. Our doormats are made using sustainable coir from coconut husks. We contribute to cutting waste by creating re-usable products like keep-cups and fold-up shopping bags. We refuse to follow trends, as these are often next year’s landfill. Our quality products are designed to become heirloom pieces and to outlast transient fashion fads.
