Pink Embroidery

Anna Chandler’s new design ‘Pink Embroidery’ was inspired by her trips to some of the great souks and markets of the world in her search for interesting pieces of textile history.

A lifetime collector of obscure embroideries and tribal textiles, Anna has taken all her favourite pieces of antique embroidery and put them together into a fabulous patchwork, the like of which has never been seen before. Ancient Syrian fragments sit side by side with pieces of Mughal, Ottoman, Kurdish and Uzbek embroidery, taken from Anna’s collection of antique pieces, often picked up at flea markets.
